I made three ping to US west, US central and US east from Japan, at the busy time 8:00 PM.
Here is the result to west (Los Angeles),
10 packets transmitted, 10 packets received, 0.0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 204.088/216.552/242.110/10.190 ms
Here is the result to central (Dallas),
10 packets transmitted, 10 packets received, 0.0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 242.090/289.129/603.005/105.539 ms
And this is the result to east (Durham),
10 packets transmitted, 10 packets received, 0.0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 418.390/462.792/502.290/30.421 ms
The link speed are obviously different: "US west" better than "US central" better than "US east".
And another ping to the NL (liteserver DC),
10 packets transmitted, 10 packets received, 0.0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 350.893/413.505/481.791/43.291 ms
which has the similar result to US east, but a bit better than US east.
